David Beckham says daughter is 'mixture' of parents
Harper Seven Beckham is a "mixture" of her parents David and Victoria Beckham.
The eight-day-old baby is the first daughter for the soccer star and his fashion designer wife - who already have three sons - and David has revealed "stunning" Harper resembles both her mum and dad and added Victoria is thriving since the birth.
David – who has released the first pictures of his daughter - explained: "She's a mixture of me and Victoria. She's a mixture of our sons as well. She's absolutely stunning.
"[Victoria's] doing great. She's feeding great. She's healthy. She's looking after our little one so we're going to head home and give her a big kiss when we get in." In tribute to his daughter, David wore pink and white boots which featured the names of his three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz along and Harper when he took to the field with his team Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday (16.07.11), where he was cheered on by his three eldest kids.
He told website HollyScoop: "They have pink stripes. [They're] obviously a one off for the birth of my daughter, so yeah, it was a special day!" David - who wore the number seven on the back of his soccer shirt for many years - has revealed he is still getting used to having a daughter after three boys.
He said: "To have another girl in the family is really incredible. We've got three beautiful, healthy boys already and we're so lucky to have that and now to have a beautiful little girl, it's amazing."
Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house and lilac in the house. And you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than with boys and I'm not used to that so it's a whole new experience but it's an amazing experience. To have that little bundle of joy and your hands and her making her little noises and opening her eyes - it really is an incredible moment for us."
