'Smart' dresser Victoria Beckham

David Bailey thinks Victoria Beckham is a "smart" dresser.

The legendary photographer says he admires the clothes the singer-turned-designer wears although isn't impressed with the huge high heels she dons.

He said: "I think she looks very smart and she dresses a lot better than lots of people like that. I'm not mad about the shoes she wears. They look like they hurt a bit - if you were told you had to wear those for the rest of your life you'd burst out crying."

As well as admiring Victoria, David also likes the way Britain's Duchess of Cambridge dresses and says she is finally bringing style to the royal family.

He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Catherine looks great and she's the first royal who dresses with a bit of style, isn't she?"

However, David - who has worked with the British royal family for many years and was famed for his portraits of the late Princess Diana - says he's not impressed with fashion and says sitting in the front row of the shows is "the most boring thing in the world".
