Celebs make donations to quake victims

Chinese celebrities have joined ordinary people to make donations to the quake-hit victims in southwestern China's Sichuan province.

Singer Han Hong has launched a donation campaign at the National Stadium in Beijing.
So far, the relief fund launched by Han Hong has received over 6.5 million yuan of donations from celebrities such as Zhang Xinyi and Tan Weiwei.
They have also used their social network accounts such as Weibo to call on the public to make donations to the quake victims.
A 7.0-magnitude quake jolted Lushan county of Sichuan's Ya'an city at 8:02 am Saturday (April 20) Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
Some 1,165 aftershocks have been detected, with the biggest one being 5.8-magnitude, the center said.
