The father of famous late singer Michael Jackson was hospitalized in Sao Paulo on Monday after suffering a stroke, according to medical sources.
Joe Jackson had flown to Sao Paulo last Wednesday to celebrate his 87th birthday in a luxurious golf club. However, he suffered a stroke and was rushed to the Albert Einstein hospital where he is reportedly in a stable condition and able to talk.
"The patient is currently in our Intensive Care Unit, after having suffered an ischemic stroke, linked to cardiac arrhythmia," stated a press release for the hospital.
Jackson has suffered three strokes in the past, with the last one happening in Las Vegas in 2012. Although the incident forced Jackson to miss the festivities, it appears the birthday party of the father of the "King of Pop" proceeded as planned with around 180 guests.
