Chinese government didn't take measures to curb egg supply across the
country, said Jia Youling, general director on stockbreeding with the Ministry
of Agriculture,at a press conference held in Beijing on Thursday.
In the bird flu infected places, the eggs, which can be infected by the
highly pathogenic avian influenza, can be safely eaten after thoroughly cooked,
while those in non-infected areas are totally harmless, he said.
