A collection of articles and speeches by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin on socialist market economy has been published.

The book, containing about 360,000 Chinese characters, comprises 79 important articles and speeches by Jiang from June 1992 to November 2002. Some of the articles are published for the first time.

The book was compiled by the Party Literature Research Center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and published by the Central Literature Publishing House.

A socialist market economic system was initiated in China at the 14th National Congress of the CPC in 1992.

Jiang summarized experiences from practicing the new system and devised new concepts of socialist market economy, which is of great importance to China's opening-up and reform as well as the modernization drive.
