A father and son lost contact for 19 years and reunited in a prison as inmates in Chengdu of Sichuan Province.

The father, surnamed Yang, left his wife and his 1-year-old son 19 years ago to start a new life. Yang was put into prison for killing a man in a street fight 10 years ago. Yang's son, now 20 years old, was put into the same prison for robbery recently. The son remembered his father's nickname "wood-head" and recognized him.

The father will be released later this year and he said he would keep in touch with his son.
