Ancient screen sells for US$8.75m

A screen used by an emperor in the Qing Dynasty was auctioned off for 70 million yuan (US$8.75 million) in Macao on Wednesday, according to a report on the chinanews.com.

The ancient wooden screen is 288 centimetres high and 680 centimetres long. It consists of six pieces of carved wooden boards that depict famous Chinese scenery.
