China, DPRK ink agreement on economic co-op

China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday signed an agreement on economic and technology cooperation between the two governments.

The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the DPRK.

Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu, who arrived in Pyongyang on Monday for a five-day official visit to the DPRK, and the DPRK's Vice Premier Guak Bom-gi attended the signing ceremony.

Hui was accompanied by Wu Dawei, Chinese vice foreign minister and China's chief negotiator to the six-party talks on the nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula.
