Professionals staying single in Guangdong

More than one-third of white-collar workers aged between 25 and 35 in Guangdong Province are still single.

And the rate is even higher in big cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Foshan in the prosperous Pearl River Delta.

High housing costs and heavy work pressures are believed to be the major reasons that so many young professionals remain single in this province.

Guangdong now has more than 1.5 million unmarried white-collar workers aged between 25 and 35.
