An elderly man in his 80s has created over 5,000 poems in 20 years, despite the fact he has only benefited from four years of schooling.
Lin, from Leqing, Zhejiang Province, ignored the derision of his fellow villagers when he announced he was to become a poet in the 1980s. He got up at 3 am and spent at least three hours every day writing down ideas.
Sometimes he can write several poems a day if he is in a good mood. His poems mainly focus on the subjects of rural life, social development and experience in maintaining health.
