Thief: Where are the police

To protect himself, a burglar had to stay atop a residential building in Chengdu of Sichuan Province and wait for police to come after he was found by community-based patrol staff.

Stranded atop the building last Monday, the thief refused to give himself up to the staff who surrounded the building, fearing they would give him a sound thrashing.

Minutes later, police came to the spot and brought him to a nearby station for questioning.
