Hong Kong - Two former executives of Dell, the world's largest personal computer maker, have joined China's Lenovo, the Chinese company said.

Lenovo said former president of Dell China David Miller has joined the company as president of its Asia Pacific operations. Miller, who is also senior vice president of Lenovo, will be based in Singapore.

The company has also announced it has named Sotaro Amanoas president of Lenovo Japan. Amanoas was formerly corporate director of Dell's home and business sales division in Japan and managing director of Dell Miyazaki.

Dell founder and chairman Michael Dell appeared unfazed by the fierce competition in China, saying the company holds the number one spot in servers market share in the country.

Speaking at a press conference in Hong Kong, he said the company will expand its sales force in China, build a close alliance with software companies there as well as grooming local talent.

"I would not make any dramatic change especially when we are growing faster than the market and faster than our major competitors," he told reporters.

Dell also said he sees Asia has as the fastest-growing computer market in the world and will be investing more for long-term growth there.
