A young man surnamed Luo living in Longyan, Fujian Province, came all the way to Changle, in the same province, expecting to meet his Internet lover. To his dismay, however, the lover didn't show up.

The heartbroken Luo, aged 20, stayed in the city for a week. Luo then used up the 400 yuan (US$50) he had brought with him and had to turn to the local police for help.

The police sent him back to his hometown.
