Housewives fall head-to-heel to soup cook

A doctor of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, has recently become "a killer of housewives."

She Ziqiang quickly attracted more than 100,000 readers after he opened a special column in a local newspaper, teaching people how to cook season and tonic soups in Guangzhou 16 months ago.

More than 95 per cent of She's fans are local housewives who cook at home everyday.

She's popularity is now competing with senior cooks in the southern metropolis, where residents cannot live without soup for more than a day.

Most of the materials for cooking soups become in short supply at local markets after She introduces his special soup of the day.
