Robber to impress his parents

A 17-year-old boy robbed a driver last week, in a remote countryside road near Dandong of Liaoning Province just to show his parents that he could.
He told the driver who he was, where he from along with the name of his father during the robbery; police used these clues to track him down. Questioned by police, he said that he wanted to show his ability to do something "great" for his parents.
