Woman swallows 20 stones, needs surgery

A young woman who swallowed a total of 20 cobblestones in the wake of a quarrel with her boyfriend five days ago had to be hospitalized for treatment in the city of Foshan, Guangdong Province, on Thursday.

Ou, a 24-year-old migrant worker, fell seriously ill on Thursday morning and felt her stomach had been damaged by the hard cobblestones she swallowed five days ago. She was finally rescued after doctors conducted surgery, and is currently recovering in hospital.
