WUHAN - A delegation composed of members of Taiwanese parties, VIPs of Taiwan's industrial and commercial fields, and experts and scholars arrived at the Tianhe Airport in central China's city of Wuhan on Saturday to attend the commemorative activities of the anti-feudalism 1911 Revolution.

Vice Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of State Council Sun Yafu and Vice Secretary of CPC Hubei Committee Yang Song held a welcome banquet for nearly 200 delegates at the city's Donghu Hotel.

Yang welcomed the Taiwanese guests on behalf of the people in the province, hoping that the economic and cultural cooperation between Hubei and Taiwan will be further developed in the future.

The main goal of the delegation's Wuhan journey is to attend a series of activities commemorating the 95th anniversary of 1911 Revolution, led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, which overthrew the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and also put an end to thousands of years of feudalist governance in China.

The delegation will also attend a "Wuhan-Taiwan Week" for economic promotion and cultural exchanges.
