A man in his early 60s attempted to commandeer a bus in Chongqing during rush hour early this week, ultimately crashing it into a footpath.

The man had demanded to be let off ahead of the regular bus stop, then sought to wrest control of the vehicle's steering wheel when the driver refused.

No one was injured in the ensuing crash, much to driver's credit. The passenger was handed over to police for questioning.
