Newlyweds can't get enough 8's in honeymoon

A newly married couple selected seats in Row 8 and used the eighth entrance channel to pass the security check at 10:18 am in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to start their honeymoon trip to Sanya in Hainan Province on Tuesday.

Zhang and his wife explained to the amazed security guards that they became attached to the number 8 when they were born. Zhang was born on September 8, while his wife was born on March 18. The number indicates good luck and fortune in a local Cantonese dialect.

The couple, having arrived in their wedding dress, had already attracted the notice of many curious passengers in the airport's waiting rooms.
