A little hippopotamus that was born two months ago has become a little star in Shenzhen Safari Park, attracting many tourists everyday.

The cute little hippo, which has grown to reach more than 40 kilograms, climbs onto the back of its mother one minute and jumps into the water the next.

The mother hippo successfully delivered the cub after she had been pregnant for eight months. All hippo copulation, delivery and breast-feeding is done under water.

It was the third time Shenzhen Safari Park, built in 1993, successfully bred a hippo. The little hippo is now in good health.
