An Argentinian Chinese invited more than 170 former teachers and classmates recently to live in a five-star hotel in Fuzhou of Fujian Province and travel around the city for three days to acknowledge their help rendered more than 40 years ago.

Although he spent 200,000 yuan (US$24,660) on the event, the millionaire surnamed Gao said the care he had received from his classmates and teachers was worth much more. Gao was born into a poor family and during his school days his teachers and schoolmates helped him out whenever he was sick or starving. In 1992, Gao emigrated to Argentina and worked his way to riches through hard work. But he never forgot his old friends, and the reunion was a dream come true.
