Woman marries prison inmate boyfriend

A wedding ceremony in a prison in the city of Qiongzhou, Hainan Province, attracted many prison officials and inmates.

Hainanese Wang Liyan, 25, decided to marry her boyfriend Chen Laigui, after Chen was imprisoned early this year.

Wang had asked Chen to surrender to police when she found out he was wanted for severely beating a man.

The special wedding, arranged despite the objections of Wang's parents, was the first in a Hainan prison.
