Plague of crows invades city
(China Daily) Updated: 2006-11-30 10:32 A massive number of crows have plagued residents
in Chifeng, a city of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, since early this
winter.
Many residents use umbrellas to protect themselves from the massive downpour
of bird faeces in the morning, while others complain that the birds' raucous
caws keep them up at night.
Experts say that the thousands of birds might have been lured to the city by
the proliferation of disorderly piles of garbage, which they pick over to find
food.
