The Macao Special Administrative Region Government's health bureau has denied giving approval to the import or sale of a potent concoction made in Thailand containing six drugs that could cause conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

The capsules from Thailand, Khun-Phra, were banned early last week by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government after reports from other countries that it had led to at least two cases of serious illness. The six potentially harmful drugs contained in the capsule are dexamethasone, prednisolone, phenylbutazone, mebhydrolin, cyproheptadine and diazepam.
