Asteroid named after respected entrepreneur(China Daily)Updated: 2006-12-11 10:25 A newly discovered asteroid was officially named after entrepreneur and philanthropist Ho Yin at a ceremony held by the Macao Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and the Zijinshan Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on Wednesday. Ho Yin was the father of Edmond Ho, Macao's special administrative region chief executive. Yan Jun, director of the Zijinshan Observatory in Nanjing, told the gathering at the Ho Yin Memorial that the decision to name the asteroid after Ho was an appropriate gesture to recognize his dedication to the development of the nation and Macao.
