Taiwan leader's son-in-law jailed for insider trading

TAIPEI - The son-in-law of Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian was found guilty of insider trading and jailed for six years on Wednesday in the latest of a series of scandals that have undermined Chen and his independence-leaning Democratic Progressive Party.

Chao Chien-ming was also fined T$30 million ($917,000) following the verdict by a court in Taipei, according to Taipei District prosecutor.
