Pluto's demotion voted top story by HK kids
(China Daily) Updated: 2007-01-05 09:01 Hong Kong children voted
Pluto's loss of planethood as the most important news of the year, according to
a yearly news survey organized by the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong
Kong.
The "bus uncle" argument between two bus passengers made famous by a YouTube
uploaded video clip finished second, and Taiwanese leader Chen Shui-bian's
troubles were third. A total of 19,055 schoolchildren aged 10 to 15 participated
in the poll. The organizer said this was the first time schoolchildren had
ranked international or political news as the most important events of the year.
