The investor, surnamed Chang, was sued by his mistress, surnamed Li, last March. Chang, who regards men as superior to women, dumped Li after she gave birth to a daughter in August 2004.

The Dongguan Intermediate People's Court ruled in Li's favor, saying that illegitimate children enjoy the same rights as those born in wedlock.
