Some runners do marathon for publicity(China Daily)Updated: 2007-03-07 09:28 A lawyer couple completed the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon 2007 on Sunday in shark costumes in their campaign to urge people to stop eating shark's fin soup. Janet Ng said both she and her husband participated in the annual marathon for the first time. The shark costumes, made with a special material, cost them HK$1,500 ($192). Also using the event to publicize messages were a man from Wenzhou, Zhejiang, who carried a Chinese flag throughout the race, and a Hong Kong man dressed as a waiter, who ran carrying a cake to raise funds for a children's charity.
