A 96-year-old woman surnamed Li received a golden award from Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Counil on Sunday for doing more than 200 hours of volunteer work last year.

Despite difficulties with walking and hearing, Li contributes her time to an elderly day-care center, where she arranges tableware and folds napkins. She said she enjoyed doing housework when she was younger and that doing volunteer work gives her a great sense of satisfaction.
