Top leadership of CPC to meet press

BEIJING -- Upon their election, top leaders of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will meet with reporters Monday morning, Xinhua has learnt.

China's televisions, radios and websites are going to live broadcast the meeting scheduled for 11 am Monday.

A new CPC central committee was elected Sunday morning at the closing session of the 17th CPC National Congress.

The central committee will hold the first plenary session Monday morning to elect its general secretary, members and alternate members of its political bureau, and members of the political bureau's standing committee, from whom the general secretary will be chosen.
