A 62-year-old woman in Chongqing went under the knife three months ago for cosmetic surgery that made her seem younger and more attractive.

But it almost cost the woman, surnamed Wu, her marriage of 40 years. A lover of ballroom dancing, Wu became the center of attention for the opposite sex at the dancehall, after she had surgery.

Her husband, surnamed Zhang, became jealous of the attention his wife was receiving and felt put out because she did not seek his consent before having surgery. Zhang was so angry he asked for a divorce and even begged surgeons to do another operation and make his wife look older. Surgeons said this was impossible. The story ended on a happy note, however, when the couple's children persuaded Zhang to forgive Wu and they were reconciled.
