Forum on modern logistics and free port development to be held

“Boao International Forum on Modern Logistics and Free Port Development” will be held in Ningbo, a dynamic and important coastal city in east China, on June 8-9, 2008.

The event is co-sponsored by Boao Forum for Asia and the organizing committee of Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium(ZJITS), and hosted by municipal government of Ningbo city.

In the time of globalization, developing modern logistic is vital for international ports to improve competitive advantages. The upcoming Forum is aimed to promote the economic integration and cooperation on modern port logistics among Asia and other regions of the world. Topics to be discussed include resource integration in port logistics, competition strategy for ports under global supply chain, how to transit a bonded zone to a free port, development strategy of third party logistics for ports, and etc. Government leaders and personages from private sectors, NGOs, and academia are invited to speak at the forum. Around 300 delegates are expected to attend the event.
