BFA calls for donation for charity program

Updated: 2008-03-25 11:43

Since its founding in 2001, Boao Forum for Asia has received tremendous attention and support from Asian community and the rest of the world.

With joint efforts of its members and sponsors, BFA launched its charity program in 2005 with the aim to work with all individuals and organizations who are interested in contributing for a better world with BFA and improving education infrastructure in those places in Asia that need help.

In the past three years, BFA has successfully mobilized around 270,000 US Dollars and helped rebuild 6 primary schools in remote and mountainous minority areas in Hainan. BFA has also organized the representatives of donators once every year to the schools to oversee the implementation of projects.

All the donations BFA mobilized in the past have been used for the recipients and BFA has covered all the operational cost of the implementation from its own account.

With the successful donation mobilization and implementation, BFA is ready to outreach for more children in more places. This year, BFA will continue to help improve the education infrastructure in poor and minority groups in Guizhou which suffered from the snowstorm last winter.

BFA sincerely invites you to join in this charity effort and together we can contribute for a better world. As always, we would like to demonstrate a collective commitment of BFA sponsors, members and participants, so we still limit each donation within 6000 US Dollars (40,000 RMB Yuan).

You may contribute now or during the Charity Party co-hosted with CITIC group to be held on 13 April during the Conference. We will acknowledge your donation on site in the Charity Dinner Party and also on our website. Besides, we will hold a donation ceremony in the party. Please join us with this meaningful cause.

Thank you very much and we look forward to participation in this meaningful effort.
