BEIJING - Ji Bingxuan was recently appointed secretary of the  Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC).

Ji was also appointed member of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, according to a notice issued by the CPC Central Committee on Monday.

Before the appointment, Ji was the deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The notice also said Qian Yunlu will not hold the posts of secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, as well as member and standing committee member of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee.

Qian was elected vice-chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on March 13.
