HANGZHOU  -- Seven people, including a five-year-old boy, died in a car crash in east China's Zhejiang Province, the local authority said on Thursday.

The accident occurred at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday when the Volkswagen driver, surnamed Dai, was driving from the suburb to downtown Xiangshan county. It crashed with a heavy vehicle in Donghu Road, according to the county police authority.

All the seven people in the car died at spot.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
