UN chief arrives in China to visit quake zone

YINGXIU, Sichuan -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Saturday extended gratitude to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for the United Nations' support and help for China's quake relief.

Wen also introduced China's quake relief efforts and said China would carry out reconstruction as soon as possible.

Speaking at an open area, Wen urged reporters to record the real situations to memorize the dead and console the survivors.
