HOHHOT -- A bus accident killed three and injured 14 in north China's Heilongjiang Province early Monday, the local authority said.
A bus with 16 passengers drove off national highway 301 and turned over at 2:30 a.m. on its way from Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, to Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, in Ganan County of Qiqihar City, near Inner Mongolia, rescuers said.
Firemen and doctors arrived at the site soon.
The 14 injured, including the driver, were taken out of the bus and sent to a nearby hospital in Gannan County.
The three trapped passengers, including a man and two women, were confirmed dead when removed from the vehicle, a doctor said.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
