FM meets the press(chinadaily.com.cn)
Updated: 2009-03-07 12:41 Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met domestic and overseas journalists Saturday morning on the sidelines of the annual parliament session at a press conference held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Yang said 2008 was a year of good harvest despite enormous challenges for China's diplomatic work. He made remarks on a variety of issues, including China-US relations, efforts against climate change, Chinese relics' auction in Paris, and the upcoming G20 summit in London.
An editorial of the People's Daily has called on China's top political advisory body to made due contributions to help the country weather through difficulties.
