Haibao goes traditional for Spring Festival

Shanghai World Expo mascot Haibao will wear a Tang Dynasty costume to welcome in the Year of the Mouse, according to the Shanghai Expo Bureau.

Haibao will also hold firecrackers--one of the Spring Festival's enduring symbols.

Limited edition souvenirs of the Spring Festival Haibo will be available in shops licensed to sell Expo 2010 merchandise from February 3 of 2008.

Under the Expo 2010 brand name, apparel suitable for a family of three will also be sold to express the organization's concern with the people, their families and their lifestyles.
