Officials in charge of a nationwide search for videos to be broadcast at the China Pavilion called on university students to take an active part in the event.
Students from local universities including Fudan University and East China Normal University were briefed on the Thursday event. Officials will also visit universities in Beijing and Tianjin to popularize the search.
About 170 videos have been submitted since the search was launched in early November.
Launched by four Websites, it encourages participants to capture and record the rapid development of cities in China and the beauty and color in people's lives.
Two hundred outstanding entries will be condensed into films and played on 15 screens in the China Pavilion.
As the search is themed "Same Time," the films will showcase the work and life of people living in different parts of China at one specific moment.
The search will conclude on February 4, 2010 and works can be uploaded to http://2010.qq.com/sametime, http://xtudv.univs.cn, http://2010.joy.cn/sametime and http://expo.tudou.com/sametime.
