The week-long exhibition covering 500 square meters features Expo ticketing, volunteer recruitment, and site traffic as well as Shanxi's exhibition and performance plan. Shanxi's gold award for its Fenjiu Alcohol at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 was also on show.

The display forms the major part of an Expo promotional week in Shanxi, which incorporates a forum and campus activities.

With the theme of civilization and energy, Shanxi focuses on the relationship of city and urban dwellers' development, Wang Jinzhen, a member of the National Organizing Committee of the Expo and vice chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), said on January 6. He believed the exhibition staged by Shanxi during the fair would attract wide attention.

Zhou Yupeng, deputy director of the standing committee of the Shanghai People's Congress, said the organizer hoped the promotion would help fuel Shanxi people's enthusiasm for the Expo and promote the exchange and cooperation between Shanghai and Shanxi.

Li Xiaopeng, vice governor of the province, pledged Shanxi would make great efforts in Expo-related work.
