No Chinese on crashed plane in Pakistan

No Chinese citizens were onboard the passenger plane that crashed in Pakistan Wednesday morning leaving dozens feared dead, embassy officials said.

A press officer surnamed Huang with China's embassy in Pakistan told China Daily that according to the passenger list he had checked, "there is no names of Chinese citizens."

But he said further checks would be conducted later because the list didn't include passengers' nationalities.

"According to the reports we have received so far and the names on the list, there is slim chance that there are Chinese citizens on board," Huang said.

The European plane maker Airbus built the A320 jet which is operated by Airblue in Pakistan, according to expressindia.com.
