Those imported Lexus LX 470 automobiles were made between May 6, 2002 and August 8, 2007, said a statement on the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

The defects are mainly caused by problems in the steering shafts. The steering mechanism may dislocate if the vehicle runs over large obstacles, which will cause steering difficulties.

The manufacturer will check and replace the flawed parts to tackle the problems.
