Flood strands 55 South Korean tourists in NE China

FUSHUN, Liaoning - A flood has stranded 55 tourists from the Republic of Korea in a town of Northeast China's Liaoning Province, local authorities said Saturday.

The tourists are trapped in Muqi Town, Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, Fushun City, an official from the city's flood control headquarters said.

Roads into the town are flooded and electricity supply has been cut.

Rescuers are headed to the town, the official added.
