Chinese police arrested 11 suspects and rescued two women after busting a human trafficking ring in Xing County, North China's Shanxi province, Xinhua reported.
One woman from Southwest China's Yunnan province, 26, and another one from Northwest China's Gansu province, 24, were sold in Shanxi in 2008 and 2009 respectively, said Zhang Weiping, a police officer.
Over ten other women also need to be returned to their homes, but some are mentally retarded and don't know where they come from, Zhang added. Traffickers sold some women as wives several times.
The suspects confessed that they earned profits ranging from 1,000 yuan to tens of thousands of yuan in each of 19 cases since 2005, according to local police.
