TIANJIN - The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, would be one of the most open and publicly engaging events ever held in China, forum organizers said.
The forum has teamed up with leading social media outlets both in and outside of China to provide a robust public outreach campaign, organizers said in a statement.

The forum has also launched twitter accounts and a QQ number to ensure people could stay informed about the updates of the event.
The two winners of the Summer Davos Debates, Li Dongjie and Li Mingzheng, have been invited to participate in the forum with all expenses paid.
Li Dongjie, a 22-year-old Shanghai resident, used to be a multimedia designer and freelancer while Li Mingzheng, a 28-year-old freelancer, comes from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichun province.
Over 10,000 users of Youku, China's leading video website, voted to send them to the Summer Davos. The two finalists are expected to invite forum participants to engage in a discussion on sustainable growth during the event.
During press conferences, the general public would have the opportunity to submit live questions via Twitter and Facebook that could be fielded to the panel.
The forum, the fourth of its kind since 2007, would last from September 13 to September 15 in China's north port city of Tianjin, attracting political leaders, scholars and business executives throughout the world, especially from emerging economies and industries.
