Chinese premier to attend UN conferences

BEIJING - Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will attend two United Nations conferences held in New York between September 21 and 23.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the announcement in Beijing on Tuesday.

Wen will attend the UN high-level meeting on the Millennium Development Goals and the general debate of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly as guest of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
