Blast kills 2 in East China city; dozens injured

Two people were killed in a blast Wednesday afternoon at a furniture market in Yangzhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, the Xinhua News Agency quoted local authorities as saying.

According to national broadcaster China Central Television, at least 30 people were injured in the accident and have been rushed to a hospital nearby.

The reports didn't specify what sort of explosion it was or what caused the accident.
